CLASS 4 PLACARDS –

Tagboard – designed for use with standard placard holders on trucks and containers
Adhesive Vinyl – peel-and-stick option for direct application to surfaces
Class 4 placards identify flammable solids and other reactive materials during transport, divided into three TDG
categories:
4.1 Flammable Solids – materials that ignite easily through friction, heat, or sparks
4.2 Spontaneously Combustible – substances that can self-heat and ignite in air
4.3 Water-Reactive Substances – materials that emit flammable gases when in contact with water
These placards are required under Transport Canada (TDG) regulations to clearly communicate fire and reactivity
hazards to carriers, first responders, and the public.
